We continue to obtain important recognitions and ratings in 𝐃𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐎 𝐃𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐈́𝐀. In this case, we have received outstanding scores on the 𝐆𝐔𝐈́𝐀 𝐃𝐄 𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐒 𝐆𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐒 𝟐0𝟐𝟓. Our Dominio de Calogía Cuvée ‘S’ 2021 has been rated with 98 points, while Dominio de Calogía 2022 has received 97 points. The same score as our ‘Double M’ 2020. Many thanks to Guía Gourmets and its tasting committee.
The influential journalist, Mara Sánchez, in her article published in THE OBJECTIVE, highlights Dominio de Calogía as a high-end project, describing it as a top wine, where it shows the great knowledge and management of Tempranillo grapes, coming entirely from own vineyards.
Dominio de Calogía 2020 is one of the 10 Ribera del Duero wines selected for setting a new, fresher and more fluid trend. He describes it as an original Tempranillo, with aromas and flavours that the prestigious and influential prescriber claims not to have observed in this variety at this level of concentration.
Yesterday we had the privilege of receiving this important visit from wine professionals and the Milenio group, where we were able to taste the winery’s three wines.
It is worth remembering that Dominio de Calogía is already present in Mexico in the best wine shops and restaurants of the country, thanks to Marinter.
Thank you very much C.R.D.O Ribera del Duero for your organization.
The prestigious world prescriptor, James Suckling, has described this wine as ‘A fine, complex Ribera del Duero, that shows hidden depth of minerals. Full-bodied and juicy, with tense, silky tannins and a lengthy finish’. It also highlights its ageing capacity and awards it 94 points.
Dominio de Calogía Doble M 2020 also receives 93 points and defines it as ‘An excellent, well-structured Ribera del Duero that can be enjoyed now, but will improve further over the next 3-5 years.’
Kathy Laurini, NASA Human Research program manager and Special Manned Spaceflight lead, and Steve Doering, Technology and Integration Executive at NASA’s Marshall Spaceflight Center visited DOMAIN OF CALOGY, along with entrepreneurs Jorge Hernandez and Alberto Polo.
Kathy and Steve showed great interest in the winemaking process from a technical point of view and enjoyed the tasting organized by José Manuel Pérez Ovejas. José Manuel was also curious and asked them about space and the unknowns that still surround our universe.
Wine and space research. Two exciting worlds that came together for a day. Who knows if someday we will be able to taste a Dominio de Calogía in space.
The 2020 Cuvée S shares the style with the rest of the wines—concentrated, powerful. a bit lactic and very spicy and smoky. Its lush and full-bodied, with 14.6% alcohol, keeping the freshness and balance. It’s a popular profile of Ribera del Duero: serious wines that are ripe and generously oaked.
This matured in French Allier barrels, one-third af them new, for 26 months. It needs a little more time in bottle. 3,475 bottles and 363 maanums were filled in June 2023.

The renowned sommelier and journalist who writes for @jancisrobinson, Ferrán Centelles (@ferrancentelleswine), and David Molina, the best Wine Coach (@outlookwine) were in Ribera del Duero conducting a blind tasting of 200 wines from Ribera del Duero.
We are happy with the comment that Ferrán dedicates us: “Happy to know first hand Dominio de Calogía, already a myth in the Designation of Origin”.
Undoubtedly, this comment transmits positivity, fills us with enthusiasm and encourages us to continue working with the spirit of improvement that is impregnated in Dominio de Calogía.The renowned sommelier and journalist who writes in @jancisrobinson, Ferrán Centelles (@ferrancentelleswine), and David Molina, the best Wine Coach (@outlookwine) were in Ribera del Duero conducting a blind tasting of 200 wines from Ribera del Duero.
