José Manuel embodies the profile of a generation that was formed and grew up within the revolution that has taken place in the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin. And now it is the one that rules in Ribera. Witness of the whole process of change and its explosion in the markets. He is one of the winemakers whose criteria are respected inside and outside. He knows the Duero and does not hide the fact that the Cuesta de Manvirgo has had a certain influence on him since he was a child. From his new winery he contemplates the mountain every morning as he does from his village, Pedrosa de Duero. After his separation from the family winery, he walks firmly alone with his Dominio de Calogía, a Ribera that has just been born and is on its way to its ascension to the altars.

Dominio de Calogía by José Manuel Pérez Ovejas has just been presented, a more modern Ribera de Duero that responds to the best expectations raised by its creator.

The winemaker, viticulturist and oenologist, who has just launched his wine on the market, admits that “bringing the world of wine closer to young people is a pending subject”.
